    1) Potential clients (non-lawyers OR lawyers) are advised to use caution when contacting Mr. Thomas. Without you knowing of this, Mr. Thomas may represent an opposing or other person in your case, negotiation, mediation or contract. At the first communication with Mr. Thomas, you should be prepared to identify to Mr. Thomas all persons and parties involved in your case, negotiation etc., which will permit, hopefully, Mr. Thomas to do a complete check of conflicts of interest before you tell him the facts as you understand them.
    2) No attorney client relationship, excepting attorney's fees expected to be less than One Thousand Dollars ($1000), is formed between a client and a California attorney at law without a mutually signed written agreement. If you should send an email or make a telephone call to his office and leave a message or record a voicemail for him before the initial personal meeting or contact, you assume 100% of the risk that Mr. Thomas has a conflict of interest and you have just helped your opposing party or involved third party with the facts Mr. Thomas's client needs to clinch the victory or deal point against you.
    3) Mr. Thomas has some flexibility with regard to fee arrangements, but currently he does not offer established businesses fee arrangements dependent on the success of the case, contract, mediation, negotiation etc. The standard hourly fee plus a true retainer is standard for businesses. A few individuals potential clients may be offered contingent fee arrangements but Mr. Thomas currently reserves these arrangements for exceptional individuals who show to him that they are capable of participating fully in discovery, strategy and planning, and wise management of resources.
